Carissa Stanton’s Casamigos-Spiked Gravy

Gravy, meet Casamigos. This classic holiday recipe gets a twist with a splash of Casamigos Añejo, all thanks to our favorite foodie, Carissa Stanton.
Ingredients
1.5 oz Casamigos Añejo Tequila
5 tbsp butter
1 tsp chopped fresh sage
2 tbsp + 1 tsp all-purpose flour
1 tsp chili powder
Dash of cayenne
1 tbsp lime juice
2 cups turkey drippings
Salt & pepper to taste

5 tbsp butter
1 tsp chopped fresh sage
2 tbsp + 1 tsp all-purpose flour
1 tsp chili powder
Dash of cayenne
1 tbsp lime juice
2 cups turkey drippings
Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
- Add butter to a skillet and turn the heat to medium.
- Once the butter melts, add the sage and let it simmer for about 30 seconds. Whisk in flour, chili powder, and cayenne.
- Once combined, add in the tequila and lime juice. Continue whisking for about 2 minutes. Make sure the alcohol has burned off completely before adding the turkey drippings.
- Pour in your turkey drippings while continuing to whisk. Bring to a simmer to thicken for 3-4 minutes. Add salt & pepper to taste.
- Serve generously on top of your Thanksgiving feast!
